Seascape cruise ship electrified by TAIS

System made of TERMOPAL

MSC Seascape is the largest and advanced cruise ship ever built in Italy.
Built with the most innovative technologies to minimize environmental impact, she will pay homage to the oceans thanks to a series of unique features. MSC Seascape key specs are: 339 metres long, 41 metres wide, and 76 metres high; a gross tonnage of over 170 thousand tonnes, more than 5,600 guests in 2,270 cabins; 1,658 crew members; 11 restaurants, 19 bars, and 540 metres of promenade offering sweeping views of the horizon.

PROBLEMS WITH THE SEASCAPE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:

THE TAIS SYSTEM THE SEASCAPE SOLUTION:

The TAIS system is made of TERMOPAL, Palazzoli's thermosetting GRP.

TERMOPAL identifies products that do not burn, do not drip, do not emit toxic gases, and do not deform. They are suitable for the naval sector, both inside and outside the ship, as they have excellent resistance to corrosive substances, sunlight, heavy rain and hail, shocks, vibrations, mechanical stress in general, and particularly low or high temperatures.

TAIS products are approximately 60 per cent lower in weight than corresponding metal products.

TAIS system guarantees high operational safety and reliability. They minimize the spread of fire, which is one of the most serious dangers that crew and passengers can face, especially on the high seas.
